Monsters' Hidden Tender Hearts Poem

 Monsters' Hidden Tender Hearts

By: Atorogi Ace

In shadows deep where nightmares breed,

Where darkness claims its vile seed,

There dwell the monsters, wicked and wild,

With claws of fury and eyes beguiled.

Behold the beast, born of ancient lore,

Its monstrous form, a chilling encore,

With scales that shimmer, like midnight's gleam,

And fangs that hunger, to tear and redeem.

Through haunted forests, they silently prowl,

Their presence felt, a shiver's howl,

Beneath the bed, where fear resides,

The monsters lurk, where light abides.

But look beyond their monstrous guise,

Peer through the fear that veils your eyes,

For within their hearts, a tale untold,

Of broken dreams and stories old.

Some monsters, lost in a world of despair,

Longing for love, tender and rare,

Beneath their rage, a fragile plea,

To be understood, to be set free.

For monsters, too, can feel the sting,

Of loneliness and the pain it brings,

Their monstrous nature a heavy shroud,

That hides the scars they bear so proud.

So, as the moon casts its haunting glow,

Let empathy and kindness grow,

For the monsters, both seen and unseen,

Are not all they appear to mean.

In the depths of darkness, compassion may find,

A flicker of light, a connection that binds,

And monsters, with hearts so battered and scarred,

Can find redemption, no longer marred.

For in each of us, a monster resides,

Beneath the surface, where shadows hide,

Let's embrace our monsters, with love's embrace,

And banish the darkness, leaving no trace.
